Hot Cocoa Mix
The recipe below makes one serving of hot cocoa, but multiply the measurements by 4, 5, or 6 and create a mix that will last you all winter long!
3 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. high quality unsweetened cocoa powder (I like Guittard or Scharffen Berger)
8-10 oz. milk of choice
Marshmallows, peppermint, cocoa powder, etc. for garnish
Begin by mixing sugar and cocoa powder (you can mix these ingredients in the mug you plan to use)
Heat milk either on the stove on in the microwave and add to mug. Stir until mix has fully dissolved and top with desired garnish(es).
Recipe Notes:
If making a large quantity, store mix in an airtight container. I like to use ball or kern jars. Mix will stay fresh for about 3 months.
